Aubrey and I were married on the 15th of December in 2001 in the Salt Lake temple. It was an extremely wonderful and joyous and snowy day. So snowy in fact, some of our guests were unable to arrive due to the weather. Our wedding was pretty early in the morning. We had to be at the temple by 8:00 in the morning to get ready, and everything went very smoothly once everyone arrived. We had pictures taken outside afterwards in the driving snow and it was extremely cold. I felt so bad for Aubrey, I at least had a tuxedo jacket. However, we all survived with no toes lost.
After the pictures were all taken, we had a wedding luncheon for our families in the nearby Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was very tasty. Our reception later that night was great. All of the food, decorations, dresses for bridesmaids, and even Aubrey's wedding dress were all made by her mother. She is extremely talented and everything turned out amazing. It was a lot of fun, even if it seemed to go on forever. After that was over, we were whisked away in a limo to the Anniversary Inn at the Salt City Jail. The next morning we hopped on a plane for an exhiliarating seven day cruise down the Mexican Riviera. It was a LOT of fun, and Mexico was great.
We'll have lots of pictures up soon, just a lot of scanning and such to do.
