That Sinking Feeling

Back when Noah started school this year, three whole days ago, we discussed a packet that his teacher had sent home that outlined the "Behavior Plan." Each kid starts out on Green and if they don't behave they have to drop a color till they get to Red...I think there are five colors...Anyways, I let Noah know that he would be grounded one day for each point he lost, and I think that each color represents two points. I expect you to behave at school. No if ands or butts about it.

Well, today I met Noah on the corner as he walked home and when he got close enough to hear me I hollered, "Hey Baby! How was your day?" As he crossed the street his eyes welled up and his lip started to quiver and I went into protective Mom mode, "What happened? What's wrong?" "I got on Yellow!" he wailed. The kid broke my heart. He was so sad that he had gotten in trouble...

So we've modified the plan a bit. He's grounded for the rest of today. If he comes home on green tomorrow then he's good, off the hook, way to make it better buddy! If not he's grounded for two days, starting tomorrow.
